| April 20, 2009 Glenroy Bowls Clubs in Melbourne, Victoria will host the World Blind Bowls 2009 Championships. This will take place from April 20 - May 2, 2009. The eleven countries to compete are Australia , Canada, England, Israel, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Scotland, South Africa and Wales. Each of the expected 80 competitiors will bring a director. The men's and women's singles and mixed pairs events each have three divisions, permitting 12 bowlers the opportunity to take home the title of world champion in their division. |  |
