| December 22, 2010 It was a clean sweep for Team Henselite in the SA State Pairs on Monday when Ashley Klose (Marion) and Simon Dorr (Payneham) were joined by Henselite team-mate Penny Landherr (Kensington/Marryatville) and her partner Janet Cocks (Prospect Broadview) in taking out the men's and women's titles respecitively. While Ashley and Simon swept through their final to run out winners 17-8 and collect their first State Pairs Title, Penny and Janet battled early on before they found their groove at 9-9 and from then on they were unstoppable.
"The day before the final we had the most horrendous weather," said Penny. "It was the worst I think I have ever bowled in. We even had hail on the green and I could barely stand on the mat it was so windy. But then the day of the final was just perfect. Perfect weather for bowls" Both Penny and Janet used Henselite Dreamlines. "Even on the day when the conditions were terrible, I can honestly say that I never thought my Dreamlines were affected by the wind. They held up really well. I am really enjoying playing with them," said Penny. Following a short break over Christmas and the New Year, Penny will be back into bowls on January 2nd, skipping for SA against VIC at Moama then back for the SA State Singles on 8th January. "I'm hoping this win is an omen," she said "and it's the beginning of another good year of bowls".
