News Team Henselite Carla back to take Victorian Open Title
December 10, 2014

Jackaroos squad member, Carla Odgers, has reclaimed her Victorian Open Singles title after storming to victory in the final over Brooke Edwards 21-5 at Shepparton last month.

Odgers faced some tough opposition in the early rounds including Ann Draffen and Robyn Thomassen but Carla had an answer for everything, using her Dreamline XGs to great effect to take her place in the final.

Bowls Victoria noted that Carla "has an affinity with the green and the tournament and remains unbeaten in three years here having won the event and not participated last year. She was quickly into her stride this year and led 7-4 after six ends. She then really began to find her form and nothing Edwards could do had any effect as Odgers extended her lead with ten unanswered shots. In truth Edwards played some great bowls and improved as the match went on, but Odgers’ Jackaroo quality continued to shine through and finished a 21-5 winner."
