News Team Henselite Caz Nelson wins back to back National Championships
July 26, 2012

NSW's Caz Nelson won Gold at the National Mutlidisability Championships for the 2nd year in a row when she took out the Singles Title at Raymond Terrace Bowling Club last month.

This achievement caps off a remarkable 12 months for Caz who won Gold in the Pairs and Silver in the Singles at the 2011 World Championships in Pretoria, South Africa, an accomplishment which saw her awarded as the International Bowler of the Year.

But she didn't have it all her own way in the final of the Singles this year. "I started off the game strongly with a 5-1 lead," she said "But I then dropped a 4 to make it 5 all. The next 18 ends played there were only 1's scored on alternate ends. By then it was 14 -14... I then picked up two shots and dropped a 1.. score now 16-15..I then picked up 2 shots to make it 18-15 and then scored a 3 on the next end to win the game and score being 21-15."

"It was a match very worthy of a National Singles Title as either player was in it for the entire game."
Congratulations Caz on your outstanding achievements this year!
