News Team Henselite Chloe Stewart wins Queensland State Singles
June 2, 2019

Chloe Stewart has struck gold for the third time in the Singles at a State Championships. With previous wins under her belt in the Victorian State Singles in 2013 and 2016, Chloe has taken out the main event in her adopted state of Queensland in 2019.

Chloe was elated with her win. "It’s a great feeling!"she said. "Team events have been my forte in recent times so it’s nice to know I still go alright in singles too. It’s been on my goal list since I moved to Queensland so it’s nice to finally tick it off!"

"All my opponents were tough, never an easy game. The score [25-10 to Chloe] didn’t reflect the game against fellow Jackaroo Bolivia Millerick. It was always going to be a tough contest."

Well known as a tactician Chloe pulled out all the stops In the final to sure up the result. 'I started long and then changed to short right at the end just to change it up'" she said. Needed to do something different to get over the line. But I also just stuck to my draw game."

"The conditions were quite good. A little bit of wind about but no matter what my XGs were the perfect bowl to use. Always such a kind line.'

"I’m really looking forward to playing the Australian Open this year. And then not too long after the AO I’m lucky enough to be heading over to the UK with the Jackaroos for a tour. Always such an honor wearing the green and gold."
