News Team Henselite Dreamline XG - The Bowl of Choice for SA International Winners
May 21, 2012

The 6-Nation International Series wrapped up in Holdfast Bay over the weekend with 6 of the World's best bowling nations doing battle in a world class competition. All the visiting nations were given a chance to tryout the Adelaide conditions before the World Championships take place at Lockleys BC in November this year.

In the end it was host nation Australia who took home the over winners trophy with 3 gold and 5 silver medals.

Young Victorian, Dylan Fisher, who was making his debut for Australia, and home town boy Wayne Ruediger, were victorious with their Dreamline XGs winning Gold in the men's triples. It was a doublely delighted Dylan Fisher who took home the medal.  "Just to be playing is good enough but it’s unbelievable to win a gold medal,” he told Bowls Australia after the win.

Wayne Ruediger was able to make the most of his home ground advantage, saying to BA “It’s a fantastic feeling playing for Australia and we’ve had heaps of support from the crowd,”

2006 Commonwealth Games Gold Medallists, Alex Marshall and Paul Foster from Scotland were victorious in the men's pairs final. The dynamic duo who have both won multiple World Indoor Singles Titles put on an exquisite display of draw bowling during the tournament, something they have become well practiced in on the indoor circuit in the UK where precision is the key. Paul Foster added to his Gold in the pairs with a Gold in the Singles winning the final 21-13 over Australia's Brett Wilkie.

The Scottish pair also used Dreamline XG's which they picked up less than a week before the tournament began, proclaiming them to be the perfect bowl for the conditions.

They weren't alone in that view, with almost half of all bowlers at the event using Henselite bowls and the Dreamline XG in particular. Malaysia's Zafirah Mohd Nor and Emma Saroji from Malaysia used theirs to good effect in the women's pairs, picking up the Gold Medal.
