News Team Henselite Finals Fever for Team Henselite Women
February 17, 2010

In another day of red-hot bowls at the Australian Open, the women of Team Henselite have led the way, pulling off some stunning victories as finals fever hits Shepparton.

Kate Carriage (ACT), a former National Junior Champion, and her partner advanced to the final of the women's pairs in an emphatic fashion after thrashing their English opposition 10-2, 12-4.

Lyn Cuthbertson (QLD) and multiple World and Commonwealth Champion Joyce Lindores (VIC) both prevailed in their quarter-finals to set up a much anticipated semi-final clash on Friday in the women's singles.

In the men's singles, Australian squad members Lee Schraner, Anthony Kiepe and New Zealand's Ali Forsyth advanced to the round of 16 and whiz kid from Warilla, Jesse Noronha, won through to the quarter finals of the men's pairs.

In the men's triples, reigning champion Mark Jacobsen will be attempting to add another trophy to his cabinet after progressing through to the quarterfinal stage. He's joined there by fellow Team Henselite members Ali Fosyth, Sean Baker, Scott De Jongh and Barrie Lester.
