News Team Henselite Gold for Foster and Marshall at World Champs
December 10, 2012

As the World Bowls Championships wrapped up over the weekend at Lockleys and Holdfast Bay Bowls Clubs in Adelaide and it was the Australians and Scots who finished with the most to smile about.

Scotland's Alex Marshall and Paul Foster were first to strike gold with a win in the Men's Pairs. Both the bowlers, who use Henselite Tigers in their native country picked up new Dreamline XGs for the tournament on the faster Australian greens and used them to great effect to take out the title over the Australian pairing, 18-13 in the final.

In doing so, they become the first duo to hold the indoor and outdoor titles in the same year, having already won the PBA indoor pairs championship. The success for Marshall, from Gifford in East Lothian, means he has now won 15 world titles, indoor and outdoor and surpasses the record held by Tony Alcock, the chief executive of Bowls England.
