News Team Henselite Kristina Krstic takes out gold in the Australian U18 Singles
September 30, 2010

West Australia's Kristina Krstic has added another title to her name, winning the girls singles at the Australian Under 18 Championships at Broadbeach Bowls Club today, taking out the final 21-6 against fellow member of Team Henselite, Breeana Dickson (SA).

Kristina bowled with Alpha bowls which she said were perfect for the very windy conditions in the final. "They took hardly any grass so were not held out by the wind" she said. It has been a year of resounding succeses for the 16 year old star - Kristina was a member of the senior women’s state team that won the 2010 Australian Sides Championships and she has been promoted to Bowls Australia's Silver Tier Squad. Today's singles title for Kristina compliments the bronze she won yesterday in the pairs.

Other Team Henselite winners at the Australian U18 Championships today included QLD's Sean Ingham who won the boys pairs with Jason Carpenter (Almark Edge), Rebekah Ramsay from NSW whose fours combination took out the girls title and Aaron Teys (NSW) who added to his fours gold medal yesterday by winning the boys triples today.

The overall championship trophy was won by QLD with one gold, five silver and two bronze medals from eight disciplines.
