News Team Henselite Lisa Phillips wins Trans Tasman and Victorian Titles
March 14, 2012

In one week, Lisa Phillips has added another two titles to her already impressive trophy cabinet. Fresh from her Australian Open SIngles finals appearance where she was attempting to win back to back titles, the 18 year old Victorian travelled to NZ last week with the Australian Development squad.

There, Lisa was instrumental in ensuring the Australian Women's Team recaptured the trophy that had been lost to NZ in 2011, playing the singles for Australia and pairs with fellow member of Team Henselite, WA's Kristina Krstic.

"It felt amazing to put on the green and gold and represent my country." she said.  "Playing against new Zealand, pride was on the line so it was it a great feeling to be part of the team that brought the trophy home."

Following her week across the ditch, Lisa returned to Melbourne to contest the final of the U25 Victorian Singles on Saturday where she staged a thrilling come from behind victory over Julia Demarchi to take out the title 25-20.

"In the under 25's it was great to be able to get another win after 2008. I lost in the final last year so I was determined to go one better this year."
