News Team Henselite NSW Rising Star Aaron Teys Dominates at South Pacific

Team Henselite youngster Aaron Teys completed a near flawless campaign at the esteemed South Pacific Carnival held in the Illawarra region every year over the Christmas/New Year period. Aaron lost just one match in a rigorous eight playing days campaign on his way to victory in both the Singles & Pairs events as well as being named Player of the Tournament.

With strong winds always a factor at host club Warilla, Aaron remarked ‘My trusty white Dreamline XG’s really handled the wind superbly over the course of the event. It’s unbelievable and definitely a week I won’t forget in a hurry! ‘

With wins over World No 2 Jeremy Henry, rising talent Dylan Skinner and four-time singles winner Shane Garvey on his route to the final , Teys was way too strong for Cabramatta’s Jeff Smith registering a convincing 31-18 scoreline.

In the Pairs, partnered with clubmate Matt McIntyre, Aaron again accounted for Australian squad member Shane Garvey in the quarter finals, 2012 champion and Australian bowls legend Steve & Ben Glasson in the semis before registering a 25-19 victory in the final against Figtree’s Brett Pieper & James Webster. Clubmate and recent convert to Team Henselite himself, Jeremy Henry, commented ‘Look out world, this guy's a definite star in the making’.
