News Team Henselite Riina Bradbrook is National Champion of Champions
November 11, 2010

South Australia's Riina Bradbrook had already made history earlier this year when she became the only person in SA to win the State Singles, the Metro Singles and the State Champion of Champions in a single season. But yesterday she decided she would not stop there, winning the women's singles title at the National Champion of Champions in North Launceston.

Riina, who uses Henselite Dreamlines, got off to a slow start in the final, dropping the first set but eventually ran out victorious 6-9, 13-5, 5-0.

“I can’t believe it, I just can’t believe it,” the Holdfast Bay star told Bowls Australia. “I was very nervous...I don’t think I’ve had that many butterflies in my stomach for years. The way I started off I thought I’d lost this game, and I just thought, oh just get on and bowl.”

Riina, who surprised no-one when she was recently named South Australia's bowler of the year, will now represent Australia at the World Champion of Champions in Hong Kong in 2011.
