News Team Henselite Team Henselite to wear the Green and Gold

A slew of Team Henselite members will pull on the Green and Gold again next month. when Australia takes on New Zealand in the Trans Tasman series on home soil at Traralgon Bowls Club.

In the Australian team announced yesterday, some of the Team Henselite members include regulars Nathan Rice from Queensland and World Champion, Wayne Ruediger from SA. Victorian Carla Odgers has bowled her way to a spot in the women's team. “Carla has deserved her spot in the team based on her outstanding 2013 which included a semi-final appearance at the Australian Open in February and victory in the pairs event at the Hong Kong International” Australian selector Steve Glasson today BA.

In the Development Team, 2013 Australian Open Men's Singles Champion, Aaron Wilson (VIC) will take the singles berth. He will be joined by Henselite team-mates Matt Baus (NSW) and Sean Ingham (QLD). In the Under 25 women's event Breeanna Dickson (SA) and Chloe Stewart (VIC) will be compeiting alongside them.

They will join Team Henselite's Ellen Ryan (NSW), Dawn Hayman (NSW) and Tayla Morison (VIC) who will be competing in the green and gold in Under 18 event which was announced last week.

Fifteen-year-old talent, Tayla Morison of Melbourne BC was thrilled to be selected to represent her country for the first time. "I felt speechless that my dream had finally came true," she said after the announcement. "I'm really excited to be able to wear the green and gold and play against some of the worlds best players. I feel privileged to be able to represent my country in a sport I love playing."

The Trans-Tasman event will take place at Traralgon Bowls Club in Victoria on March 18-20.
