News Team Henselite Teenage Aaron Wilson in NSW Open Pairs Victory
December 6, 2010

Victoria's Aaron Wilson became the latest teenage bowls sensation last week when he won the pairs title at the NSW Open in Wagga Wagga. Aaron, who has just turned 19, chalked up his first Bowls Australia Grand Prix win with his experienced club teamate, Matt Flapper, in a thrilling final against fellow Victorians and members of Team Henselite, Lee Schraner and Neville Rodda. The Essendon pairing ran out the victors 11-5, 0-15, 3-2.

"I'm absolutely stoaked about it to be honest," Aaron said following the win. "I'm still speechless about it. It hasn't sunk in yet. When we got back to the club, the general vibe was awesome. Everyone was really pumped about it."

Aaron used Henselite ABT-evos throughout the tournament. "The bowls were awesome in the conditions," he said. "They held a steady line."

So what's next for the talented teenager? "I'll be concentrating on Pennant now and the Group Side. And the Australian Open's coming up pretty quickly," he said.
